POSITION SUMMARY
The Administrative Assistant will provide clerical and operational support to the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Graduate Program.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Job duties specific to this position:
- Assists with on-going Program contracts, files, and databases.
- Support faculty with administrative tasks for clinical sites and placements.
- Manages communications and online platforms for student field hours and evaluations (ex. Typhon).
- Maintains working rapport with faculty and students in order to exchange work-related information and to clarify needs.
- Completes registration (add/drop) of students into courses as needed.
- Assists with activities related to student recruitment, admissions, and clinical placement.
- Represents the College at various functions specific to the programs.
- Supports faculty needs: Orders supplies/books/forms as needed, with particular focus on establishing the program in new location, the McNeil Firehouse.
- Attends Program and Department meetings.
- Sorts, screens, and distributes mail; composes and ensures timely responses to a variety of written requests, prepares documents, and composes routine correspondence as required.
- Answers and directs incoming phone calls; takes and directs messages accordingly.
- Assists with the updating of policies and procedures.
- Assists with the updating of the catalog and Student Handbooks for the various programs.
- Represents the Departments at all Commencement activities as needed, requiring some weekend/after-hours duties.

Additional Information:
Pay Range: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Must have a high degree of organizational skills, motivation, self-direction, and independence. Logical decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Skill set to become proficient to work with information systems software such as Datatel, Slate, and Taskstream. Strict attention to detail, with information follow-up and follow-through.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- People oriented.
- Versatility and flexibility.
- High degree of integrity to handle confidential information on a daily basis.
