Description
Under the supervision of the Program Director, provides developmental screening, assessments, and direct services to families of children aged birth to three who are at risk for or experiencing developmental delays. Applies specialized social work skills to support families and promote child development.
Requirements
Essential Responsibilities
- Provide home-based services to families within the catchment area.
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of all areas of infant-toddler development.
- Serve as a member of a multidisciplinary team in screening and assessing children birth to three who are at risk for or experiencing developmental delays.
- Participate in screenings, assessments, child and parent groups, center visits, and home visits as part of the team.
- Use a parent coaching model when working with families.
- Coordinate services for assigned caseloads, including developing, monitoring, and reviewing Individual Family Service Plans (IFSPs).
- With parental permission, collaborate with community agencies—such as childcare providers, medical providers, social service agencies, and specialty providers (e.g., for autism or hearing/vision loss)—to ensure continuity of services.
- Empower families to advocate for their rights and meet their children’s needs.
Additional Responsibilities
- Attends all staff meetings and trainings unless excused by supervisor
- Uses all means of agency communication including email and phone (voicemail) to remain well informed of agency activities and client needs
- Maintains confidentiality according to agency policy
- Meets with supervisor regularly
Qualifications and Requirements
Education
- Master’s degree in social work.
- Current licensure as a Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) by the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Social Workers.
Experience & Skills
- Two (2) years of pediatric experience preferred.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Google Drive, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Office 365 applications (Outlook, OneDrive, Zoom, Teams).
- Ability to use computer-based technology, including a computer/laptop and cell phone.
- Current certification in infant/child CPR and First Aid.
Transportation
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (with access to a personal vehicle) required for local travel.

Compensation and Benefits
This position offers a starting salary range of $68,000-$90,000 per year. Actual starting pay will be based on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. The role is also eligible for an annual incentive and long-term incentive opportunities.
